The article, titled Bold & Beautiful on page 101, spotlights a stunning bungalow transformation in the Mount Hope community. A project that perfectly illustrates what COCO Interior Designs does best: listening deeply, trusting the process, and creating spaces that truly reflect the people who live in them.
When Jane and her husband purchased their bungalow in an active retirement community, they knew it needed work. What began as a planned three-month refresh quickly evolved into a six-month whole-home renovation, as the vision grew room by room.
COCO’s principal designer Colleen O’Hara guided the couple through every decision, from tearing out the early 1990s dark wood cabinetry and walls that made the home feel closed-off and small, to opening up the kitchen, dining, and living areas into one bright, connected space.
The show-stopping result? A chic white-on-white kitchen with a large island and wall-to-wall cabinetry from Baresa Kitchens, refreshed railings, updated hardscaping, and a basement transformation. All anchored by Jane’s personal art collection and the furniture pieces the couple loved and wanted to keep.
As Colleen puts it: “You know within the first minutes if there’s a connection. And there was definitely a fit with the homeowners. I could see that they trusted my vision.”
That trust made all the difference.
