Colleen O’Hara was recognized with the Consumer’s Choice Award as the Best Interior Designer of 2024, a shining moment that underscores her incredible talent and dedication in transforming spaces into works of art. This award reflects her unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of design, ensuring that each project she undertakes is not just seen but felt deeply by those who experience her work. With over three decades of experience, Colleen’s approach combines innovation with a keen understanding of her clients’ desires, setting her apart as a leader in the field.

Colleen is a proud Irish Canadian who has recently returned to the Golden Horseshoe area after a 10+ year stay in Louisville Kentucky. Colleen is an award-winning designer and interior design consultant with expertise in residential and commercial design has been living her passion for design for more than 30 years.

As the lead designer for Marz Homes, Colleen was presented with best in class design for her stunning vision of contemporary living. No matter what the project, Colleen ensures that the customer’s needs and wishes are truly reflected in the finished work. Customers can expect an exceptional communicator who works to take away any stress whether the project is colour selection or a complete renovation.

During her stay in Louisville, Colleen ventured into the world of commercial property design and completed a dozen projects with community partners. Various medical clinics were remodeled to fit patient and health care professional needs. The work went beyond aesthetics as ergonomic, privacy and calming effects were implemented. Community events and galas benefited from Colleen’s role in showcasing charity balls, negotiating with vendors and overseeing a design team that befits the stage of well-known American charities.

Colleen has an enthusiastic approach to design offering and presenting affordable alternatives. Colleen has top drawer contractors and vendors that can attest to her professionalism and coordination of complex projects.

Now living in Ancaster, Ontario Colleen has been welcomed back with appearances on CHCH TV as an interior design consultant, reacquainting home renovators, home sellers and contractors with her dynamic approach.

Colleen’s business, COCO Interior Design, is a reflection of not only Colleen’s initials but also a nickname of “COCO” by some clients’ children. The name has stuck. Colleen’s favorite expression is “you don’t have to break the bank to have a fabulous look”.
